Welcome to the Neuros open source firmware project.Warning: some of the pages on this wiki are getting quickly outdated. The Neuros I and II models have reached end-of-life and are not being manufactured anymore. Most of the interest shifted to the new Linux-based products that Neuros Technologies is designing, with input from the community, both on the hardware and software side. These will be considerably more open, powerful and hacking-friendly, without most of the issues that plagued Neuros I/II open firmware developement. You can join this new project by taking part in the Neuros-DM320 mailing list and by having a look at the DM320-related pages on the new Neuros wiki. The #neuros channel on freenode is still active too, for more informal chat on everything Neuros-related (both old and new). We are a group of developers working together with the goal of improving the firmware for the Neuros portable digital audio player. This site is one of the various discussion and collaboration avenues we use. It contains a repository of documents, both technical and user-oriented, togheter with a collection of links to further useful resources. It is also acting as a central release outlet for milestones and final versions of software we write, while ongoing developement can be tracked via the CVS repository on Sourceforge. |
